nephew-in-law. he will cherish it and treat it like family. Great yoiung fellow: all sorts of shooting sports accomps, including sporting clays champ a few times. at good sized Pennsylvania club. Shoots tacky-tool, and is good with it. Also, is a fine handgun shot. My niece is CCW'd at her office, and likes shooting Uncle John's 'antique guns' i.e, single action revolvers, levers, etc. when they come out here.
Somewhere among my friends is a Brockman Marlin .357 I had done up; the tactical works and teflon finsih. No one appears to be shooting it, so that may come back home eventually. However, the 16" SS .357 from Steve's is the go to 'plink, plunk, trunk, ramble, campfire, and 'greeting' lever for the whilst.
Oh, also scored a 6 1/2" [i think] older flat-top Ruger .22 with little wear on it. No .22mag cylinder, but it's just for tin-canning. The thoughts of making a 4" have crossed my e-vile heart, but hopefully, that too, will pass. Took stock of old projects in the shop and realized that I'm going to have to extend my retirement years another decade, at the least.
Anyway, as usual...if one cannot find a 'gunny' answer among the assembled here, there mos' likely isn't one.
