A Blackhawk 45 colt cylinder will accept a moon clip full of 45 Acp. :-D
I used to use moon clips all the time reaming the cylinders, I'd inset a moon clip full of empties when I'd hone them after reaming to protect the headspacing/shoulder. (on the Acp cylinders that is)

Never installed one in a gun though to see if there was enough ratchet past the clip to still function. ;-)
