[image]The Mauser Parabellums are really outstanding pistols. I have two of the 06/73 (P08) variety like yours, but both of mine are in 9mm. One with a 6" barrel, and the other with a 4" barrel. They are extremely well made, and quite accurate, and great fun to shoot!!!! The 6" barrel pistol has an entirely different feel to it than the 4", and I like it the best for shooting.

The grips can feel a little blocky and not quite like a real luger, but if you go to the luger forum, there is a gentleman there named Hugh that does a great job of reshaping the grips to true luger shape and then re-checkering and refinishing them. He is a true craftsman, and I've had him do the grips on both of mine and it really improves the feel and handling. There is also a gentleman there (goes by his initials G.T.) who can replace the plastic magazine base with an aluminum base that looks like the german WWII mags and is more durable than the factory plastic magazine base. Anyway, the luger forum (http://www.lugerforum.com/) is a excellent source of information on all things luger.

I do hope you shoot your luger, they are very fun and amazingly accurate. :-) :-)
