1911 Update-Took a day off and hit the range today...

Put about 50 rounds through my Colt. Wilson drop-in safety and C&S hammer functioned flawlessly and gun was more than comfortable. Once I put the Harrison Retro rear sight in, I think I'll be done with it. I may also pop an Ed Brown full diameter slide stop in but that's about it. I did get one failure to extract where it didn't fully eject the spent case but picked up a fresh round under it, though that had nothing to do with the mods. It was CCI Brass Blazer 230 ball and I suspect it was a weak load that didn't fully cycle the slide...kinda like you might get if you limp wrist it...but I'm not a limp-wrister) First time it's ever done that and I'm not too worried about it.
