Yesterday, Dad and I attended the OSEG Sportsmans Show

Each February there has been a sportsman's show conducted at the Eastern States Expo center in Springfield Massachusetts for at least thirty years or more.

One of the reasons we attended is that Dad and I want to go on a decent hunting trip sometime this year. Granted there are outfitters from around the world from Poland, to Australia and to Africa but most are from Canada and the Northeastern US. There were a number of western outfitters and a few from the southeast.

Which brings me to this posting. About twenty years ago Dad and I went on a deer hunt in Caswell County North Carolina at a club that offered day hunts. Long story short, we got stuck.

I did see some deer and got off a shot, which resulted in a miss, but overall we did had some issues. I recall the day the game wardens visited and after checking our licenses we were told they were looking at this "guide" because he was baiting wild turkeys which is illegal in NC.

Anyways. We did chat with the outfitters from North Carolina and we're very interested in a combination feral hog and deer hunt sometime next November. Dad and I talked further and we had expressed a mutually shared concern about getting a bad deal as we did in the past. We like the idea that this hunt is about a twelve to fourteen hour ride from home, so to speak.

I was wondering if anyone has had experience with Buffalo Creek Guide Service in North Carolina? I did some searching on the internet and they had a couple of good reports but nothing more.

There was Carolina Woods and Waters . I found one review of sorts that was positive but only one.

Also, any other recommendations? I appreciate any and all replies.
