.38 S&W brass

I've got one of those old Brits, too. Aside from the tough trigger it's a nice shooter. Cleaning the crud out and dosing with Lubriplate helped the trigger, and I filed the front sight a bit to correct the POI. Those guns were sighted for the 178 grain British service load, and the lighter .38 S&W factory loads hit low.

Even though it is a top-break, these things are stronger than the old "suicide special" breaktops. Mine shoots well with .358 diameter 158 grain hard-cast SWCs over 3.2 grains of Unique.

Magtech sells their 146 grain swaged lead round nose bullets as reloading components, in 100-count plastic bags. They may sell cases too, but I have not seen any.
