...he is NOT doing well, sounded so weak and puny he could hardly talk. I had been wondering why I hadn't heard from him, and it's because he almost died last week. The CANCER has come back on him - two different types of cancer cells now, in two different places: his bladder/urethra (again), and now his lower spine, in his bones.

It doesn't look good, but he told his doctor he didn't want to hear what his chances are - he's "just going to beat the sonofabitch". He's had one round of chemo, and it's really whupped his ass - he has to get eleven more, one every three weeks, so there's no way CSA will be in the cards for him. He's hopeful he'll get to come to the Shootist Holiday.

Y'all keep ol' Jimmy in your prayers.
