Thx for the tips on the plug gauges. Ordered from Enco and

found they have two applicable coupons until the end o' the month -

GAMEDAY for 15% off $99+

-and-

KICKOFF for free shipping on $99+

So my ZZ set, "on sale" for $79, plus a made in USA adjustable wrench and a pair of scouring pads, came out to less, to my door, than many other vendors charge for the gauges alone, sans shipping.

I'm assuming these imported gauges are the same as all the other rebranded, non-MUSA sets.

Anyway, I'm back on my way to figuring out why I can't hit the broad side of a barn. :-P

Imported gauges tend to measure correct enough

They are not as precise as some of the high grade ones but you have to measure .00005" to prove it. Mostly they are a bit softer and can be scratched easier, not an issue as all for a home hobbyist gun guy...

Thx. I don't have the means or the skill to measure .00005

anyway.

With very very few exceptions you only need that many zeros

on the internet.

Wife always knows when I've run across someone on the internet holding "half a tenth" in their non-climate-controlled basement or garage. She calls it my "Kasper Gutman laugh".

Excellent reference, John. Personal favorite.

I appreciate the advice.

And I picked up a Wilson case length gauge for the Krag. Hoping to clear my backlog enough to start loading in the next couple of weeks.

Thanks for the heads up on the discount

I ordered two sets the small one up to .250" and the big one up to .500" for $ 100.

Good deal, eh?

Hope to see you in March.

We are planning on it.

But with my schedule I won't know for certain until the end of Feb.

Since the owner of Grizzly Tools is a shooter, maybe we could prevail on him to get sets made with only the sizes needed.

Most of my set will remain unused for gun checking duty.
