696 Owners, interested in the 69 Combat Magnum?

Sure seems to me that if there was a problem with cracking the throat/barrel root on these that they would have discovered it. Then again, maybe not!

696 Owners, interested in the 69 Combat Magnum?

It will be interesting to see the new model 69 in person. I have a 696 and a 396, I'd like to see the model 69 and measure the forcing cone area of the barrel and see if they beefed it up any for the 44 Magnum.

They advertise it as....

order to handle the .44 Magnum. Longer cylinder? Anything else? On a related note, how long will it be until we see a 696 that somebody has re-chambered to .44 Magnum?
