In fact "fort" sounds pretty militaristic and non-inclusive or non-progressive. Like the purpose is to keep people out or something.
We should call forts, bases, or stations something like Inns. that evokes the opposite of out, like what a fort does.
We could name them after progressive political heroes rather than members of the killer class.

Inn Hillary Clinton
Inn Sebelius
