your work on heavy 160gr ammo for the Hush Puppy program? Any insights on powder selection for 9mm subsonic?

Looking for history or load data?

If you're after load data, head over to Brian Enos forums, reloading section. Lots of people shooting them in competition. I played with them briefly.

If you're looking for a story…. well so am I. let's hear in Mr. J. :-D

Mostly story, admittedly. And how the Mod 39 and 59

If the Ref. Mr. J is to me, I know nothing of any 160 gr. loads. The Navy went to S&W and ask them to build 10 guns, 1 proto then if approved a total of 9 more. The first guns were bid at $25K each....is that the type info you are interested in ????:-P

Yessir, it was you I was asking. I read recently where

you manufactured the original heavy-bullet ammo for the hush puppy. In Paulson's silencer book, I believe. Now I need to go look it up again.

Look it up please, because my copy was sold and never replaced. It could have been reference to some work I did with Mitch Werbell 2, reference an order from the Imperial Palace Guard in Thialand. Made several trips to Powder Springs. Actually at one time I was a certified employee of MAC
This certificate a photo I.D. That allowed me to fly Domestic Airlines with fully automatic weapons as well as Suppressors. Can you imagine that in todays world?
They ,MAC had a contract with the above mentioned facility and also included 100K rounds of sub-sonic ammo for the MAC 11 in 9 mm caliber.
They knew about our Naval Intelligence contract. The heavier blowbact bolt in the MAC 11 required a heavier bullet to met the cyclic rate of fire, which was significantly higher than anything else available at the time. My concern at the time was a cartridge profile that met SAAMI standards. This turned out to be a non-entity because of going out of county. Also, the chamber and throat allowed a longer seted projectile.
The Mod that was later designated 58 was the commercial variation of the gun that was developed for the Navy Seal prokject, that's another story but similar. LEJ :-(

Certainly - will get back with results. nm
