That`s a shame ,For someone To let this happen. I think he will get them working. the bore`s and bolt of the m14 looks great , I guess after the rust is gone a person could sandblast and paint!:-D

I believe the long barreled Thompson indicates to me a semi-auto. Lack of selector on the scoped rifle indicates it could be a semi-auto M1-A. Is there any other features that I've missed?

It's a popular thing to do. I'm wondering if it isnt a Norinco M-14; they had chrome lined bores and chambers. I had a few different stocks for my M-14 and M1a. They even sell fake selector switches that mount to the stock to make your Springfield or Norinco look more USGI.
