Amazed at the LCP's shootability...

I shot our basic qualification with it yesterday, which consists of 10 rounds at 25 yards, 10 at 15 yard, 12 rounds of double-taps & low ready at 7 yards and 5 rounds of yank & blast at contact distance. Times are 35 seconds at 25, 25 seconds at 15 and four seconds for the rest.

I'm an old DA revolver guy and just treat this thing like a little bitty hammerless snub. I'm kind of kicking myself for not trying one of these sooner.

Is this the .380 or 9? I've loved the idea of a small pocket nine for a long time, but have t found one I can shoot well enough to replace a J Frame. I've heard the LCP 9 handles better than many of the others.

I have an LC9, it's a bigger gun than the LCP

that has little nub & notch sights. Mark is right, the LC9 has actual sights on it. Good article (as usual) & photos here: http://gunblast.com/Ruger-LC9.htm You can even get the same basic gun in 380 http://ruger.com/products/lc380/models.html but I don't know why anyone would when the 9 is available.

I am tempted to mount a little silver shotgun bead on this one.

Yep, I got alot of miles on my lcp, I carry it in a Milt Sparks POC, right side, I can`t see the sights much,:-D just shoot over the top of the slide. it always works and I forget I have it on , got to clean it every week, reload with Hydro/shocks and put it in my pocket, I have a few Walther PPk, and PPk`s that are going down the road

I forgot the designation difference between the LCP and LC9. A local guy has a near new LCP for $250. Seem like a decent price?

From what I've seen, yes.
