Linebaugh Seminar

I've always wanted to attend one of Johns seminars. It looks like this just might be the year, and I'm hoping for some advice to help me with my planning. I don't know what kind of weather to expect from Wyoming in mid-June, and need to plan my (ahem) wardrobe. I figure a good sun hat will be necessary, and that blue jeans should be appropriate. But I'm lost once I get past that point. Also, what exactly is "plenty" of ammo? How much shooting actually takes place? Any hotel/motel recommendations? What to avoid? I'll likely be attending by myself, and really don't want to worry (much) about ending up in the wrong areas of Cody.

Well, having been to John's seminar in Cody, the only thing you'll have to worry about is leaving. You may not want to. My wife was ready immeadiatly. Be sure to bring "Spring like" clothes if you are from the midwest, A good jacket is necessary if it takes a dip for temps. Sun hat is needed, so bring yer cowboy hat. One year that I was there with my wife, we camped at the Cody Reservoir campground. We awoke to fresh snow about 300 feet up from our elevation. So it can be a bit cool. ( I've camped the times I've went so Hotel cost were negative.) The Big Bear is the hotel I think most folks stay at, and across the street is a great place for breakfast called "Our place" I think. By the third day they will pretty much have your order down if you eat the same stuff each morning.

Plenty of ammo, is what you make of it. I've never been able to bring buckets of it, but I did set up my reloading bench in the back of the truck and loaded a few while there. You will never be devoid of things to shoot as I've never been to one that someone didn't ask if I wanted to shoot something of theirs. Great people, every one of them! Welcome at my fire anytime.

John will be having two other seminars this year. One in Carloina, I'll have to get the contact information, but the date is May 17-19, I think. The other on is in Carthage ILLINIOS on May 25-26-27. It will be the 9th annual. Another great group of fellow. The Carthage seminar cannot shoot the distances that they do a the Powell range, only 300 yards, but Powell 1000+ However, the shoot usually has morning classroom time with good discussions on history, building, tolerances, accuracy and etc at the Carthage Seminar.

If you have any questions, call John at 307-645-3332 or for the Carthage Seminar contact ME, Todd Corder 309-458-6464 or shoot me an e-mail at lalaland at adams dot net.

Be glad to help anyway I can.

Please pass my regards on to John and tell him I think of him often. Also, let him know my Dad passed away Christmas Eve.

Thank you so much.
