Kenya Mall Murders

Aren't you glad we have our malls posted against carrying firearms so the murders like in Kenya can't happen here? That'll stop them!

Don't go or ignore signs...two choices, make your own

Where is the call for stricter gun laws in Kenya?

by Hoot @, Diversityville, Liberal-sota, Sunday, September 22, 2013, 10:38 (4024 days ago) @ stonewalrus

Oh, that's right, they already HAVE strict gun laws.

Source: http://www.gunpolicy.org/firearms/region/kenya

Rate of Civilian Firearm Possession per 100 Population
The estimated rate of private gun ownership (both licit and illicit) in Kenya is 1.23 to 1.58 firearms per 100 people

Number of Licensed Firearm Owners
The number of licensed gun owners in Kenya is reported to be 5,000
[Hoot notes it is illegal to own a firearm without a license per FIREARMS ACT CHAPTER 114, http://www.kenyalaw.org/klr/fileadmin/pdfdownloads/Acts/FirearmsAct_Cap114.pdf]

Rate of Licensed Firearm Owners per 100 Population
The rate of licensed firearm owners in Kenya is 0.02 per 100 people

Number of Registered Firearms
The number of registered guns in Kenya is reported to be 6,481

Rate of Registered Firearms per 100 Population
The rate of registered firearms per 100 people in Kenya is 0.02

Carrying Guns Openly in Public
In Kenya, carrying a firearm in plain view in a public place is prohibited

Carrying Hidden Handguns in Public
In Kenya, carrying a concealed firearm in a public place is prohibited

====================
I get the feel that the above site is rather liberal leaning but that would have me believing the 'facts' are skewed to show greater ownership rather than lower.

Yep, more gun laws here will definitely keep people in malls safer.

Whut? No whut? Fire arms? I ain't had no firey arms since thay commenced makin' that sun screen lotion stuff.

Don't know how thet's got to do with mauls. I ain't used a maul since thay come out with reddy-made roof shingles. Splittin' shingles with a froe an' a maul is too slow work fer me.

I see thay has been 'nother big shootin' in a shoppin senter over in Afriki or somewheres. Thats how come I don't never go to one o' them durn places with out ma gun.

Have you noticed it's gun control "advocates" and gun

They know words have power and, unfortunately, they're good at it.

Not sure about other states but the carry law in Colorado does not ban fire arms in malls or movie houses. Those no fire arm signs posted are corporate policy. If they detect that you are carrying they can ask you to leave and thats it. If you refuse then it is another matter. Poloce could be called and you could be ticketed for disturbing the peace. After the Aurora theater shooting a guy here openly carried in another theater. Police were called and he was taken away only to be released with no charges. We have open and concealed carry (with license) except in schools, government buildings and I think bars.
