A gentle reminder about language use on this forum

Imagine my surprise when I got up this morning and found less than decent language posted on the forum. This hasn't happened much over the years because of the caliber of gentlemen that generally inhabit this virtual neck of the woods. For most of us this little blurb is unnecessary, but for the very few who forget that this is a family oriented forum - although most of us are familiar with "adult" language, we are also aware that there are times and places where such language is not appropriate and this forum is one of them.

The offensive post was deleted along with replies to it. To the original poster, I'm surprised at the attitude expressed in the post. It seems quite out of character. And the moderator didn't give it the axe - I did. We do not all "play well together", but most of us have a subset of the denizens of this board that we do play well with. It is the measure of a man to be able to walk away from situations rather than escalating them. Thank you in advance for doing your part to not escalate discussions. There are back channel ways to express yourself, no need to drag the forum down.

Now we return to our normal Sunday programming. :-)
