today, cost me 525.00 to put together. fired a couple 40 and 60 round mags through it. The 60 round Surefire magazine's work GREAT.

Tried my Slide fire stock on a CMMG lower with a 1" Bull barrel DPMS "Sportical" upper accurate, little or no muzzle climb and not a stutter for 300 plus rounds. The Leupold optics cost more that the gun. the stocks added 400.00 retail but worth it.

I had a 599.00 DPMS A2 cut down and IT is still accurate and reliable. I like Mag pull's smooth for ends! Now the cleaning begins...[image]

Spent some quality time with one of my ARs this weekend too.

In between the kids basketball games that is. Got out a couple of times and did some 'yote calling with a couple of friends. The AR really is about perfect for coyote hunting when properly setup.

Perfect.....................

It's got a 1.5-5x scope on it now and actually this one is a .300 blackout but my .223 looks very similar... Hopefully Indiana will soon pass hb243 allowing us to hunt with suppressors.

Please tell me about your experience with the Blackout...

Enquiring minds want to know. I am considering getting an upper for my AR.

I really like it. My home range is only 100 yards but we are working on getting 250-300 so I'll get a chance to stretch it out some. I shoot it almost exclusively with my .30 cal suppressor. Hopefully I'll have a 9mm can soon and it can be used with subsonic loads. It's very quiet and a lot of fun. Supersonic loads are close to 7.62*39 which are close to .30-30.

The .300 can be adapted to an AR with nothing more than a barrel swap. Same bolt same mags, etc.

Some on here has shot it, Cannon, Gunner, and Mark Cassil so thy can attest to the fun factor. We can't hunt with it here in Indiana, except coyotes and not with the can. My 125 gr TNT loads would probably work well but my .308 is a bit more accurate. The more I shoot it the more I like it. I'm waiting on a barrel to put on a Stevens 200 to have a boltgun in the caliber and I'm going to start experimenting with cast bullets for it as well. Feel free to ask specific questions as I'll do what I can for you.

Thanks, I'll probably post separately to keep things semi-

organized.

I'm very serious about this commercialized Whisper (which is what it really is). I tried using the .30 Herrett (very similar) with the heavy bullets but that is a no-go in most/all TC .30 Herrett barrels due to the twist rate used. Not that I didn't try anyway! It is fun to hear those bullets whizz wickedly down range. AND it is amazing how tight a group you can shoot with bullets flying mostly sideways. :-D But, the Blackout should be better. I'm just trying to convince myself to come up off the money. ;-)
