Question on the 22 WRF

I have an old Remington Model 12-CS. Says 22 Rem Special on the barrel...pretty sure that is the 22 WRF.

I bought these and several others at an estate. However the bolt is missing 'cause the kids thought their ole man would hurt himself, so removed it. Of course they cannot locate it now.

I've looked everwhere for a bolt but only see the 22lr available...musta not made many of these '22 Rem Specials'. It appears to me one (not me) get the 22lr bolt and open up the extractor and be good to go.

Anyone know where I could get a bolt to try this? I picked up quite a few boxes of 22 WRF when they showed up at the Sportman's Warehouse.

Yes, the .22 Rem Special IS the .22 WRF. I have a 12 CS.

However, I don't know if one could simply open up the bolt. If I can get my hands on a 12 and look, I'd be glad to compare.

Yes they are the same cartridge. I have a few boxes or Rem ammo that are marked .22 special.
