I know where a nice yellow box of 110 Super Vel sits

As long as that hotel still stands.

I was deployed to Central America in late 83 and early 84 due to specific threats we had against some other servicemen. At that time the 9mm trials were ongoing and for concealable sidearms we had very nice SW Combat Masterpieces. The guns were great, the ammo was shit. 130 grain FMJ nonsense that I had no real confidence in if I had to use the thing to get to my rifle, so I hied myself down to the local emporium and picked up a box of Lee's best in 110 grain and took that with me. I carried that SW all over the place with the good ammo and felt better. Some LE on an island nation found it and tried to buy the box for 100 dollars or some prostitutes brought out to the bird. I kept the ammo. Time to rotate back, and I just ditched it up inside the ceiling of a hotel in Panama City prior to leaving. For all I know it is still there. For awhile I had this recuuring thought of some hoods finding that stuff and of having cases with my prints on them scattered at some Panamanian or Columbian or something crime scene.

Very good ammo.
