went to the store to buy my pa out of state license and spotted very rough xp100 in the case with a black stock and Tasco scope, Thought it was a 223 and made an offer. Ended up being a 222.I was thinking of Matt when I bought it and it ends up Matt is into the 222 from the rifle he got from me. He is gona love it but after I RING IT OUT . I should take possession in 10 to 12 weeks when NJ processes the purchase permit I paid for today. Oh yes NJ fees added $66.00 to the purchase price. If I imported it from another store add $50.00 transfer and shipping to that figure. So fig any gun I buy now costs $115.00 over the purchase price and a 12 week wait. But they say that is reasonable and no burden. J.Michael

make me so glad I live in a free state.

Years ago I passed on one in a shop in Nashville old brown center hold stock, Phathom scope and mount, like new condition.

AMEN! I was at a local gunshop and a couple

were asking all sorts of questions like doesn't the gun have to be sent off to be fired and tested/bullet registered. I said Tennessee is not a communist state. The gunshop guy cracked up. They also thought they'd have to take a class before purchasing a gun. They I am sure were New Englanders of some stripe. Of course you'd be surprised how many people born and raised around here that think that.

As you say, there is a finite amount of intelligence in the world and the population that shares it is getting bigger all the time.

I think it is going to slowly get a little better. Everyone has had enough of cuomo!!! One good thing is he ruined his chance at presidential run and I think the same can be said about a second run at governor.

for the first time in 6 years. No kids, no nephews, no nieces, no strays, I got two rooms to rent out...CHEAP! But you better hurry, cause someone(in-laws, out-laws, what have you) will need a place to stay pretty soon. They don't stay empty long!

Cades Cove, the Sinks, don't recognize the little creek 'cause there's so dang MANY purty little creeks up there! Love them mountains even though the area around G'burg is overrun with people most of the summer. Need a fix this fall.

Thanks, Joe!

I was blessed to get to fly over Cades Cove and Neyland

Stadium in a Blackhawk helicopter. Awesome sight! We're moving at work. I'll try to find a couple of shots when I get settled in.

You got Cades Cove. The two photographs with my wife slid'in down the rock, is a place called Steel Trap, it's up off Clingman's Dome road, about two miles down the Forney Ridge Trail. Not a lot of people know about it, and not many go there cause you have to hike in. It't a long "sliding" rock, very refreshing this time of year. The other "creek" photograph is Jakes Creek, about a mile or so out of old Elkmont Village.

The photos of the deer(albeit poor photos) are just a couple bucks in velvet in Cades Cove. The photo of the little cub was funny. I was hiking up to Spence Field on the AT out of Cades Cove, about two miles up the mountain I stopped for a snack and a drink of water, and I kept hearing this strange noise. Finally I looked up and there the little fella was, I believe he was SNORING! Don't think he ever knew I was there, figured mama was around somewhere, so I didn't hang around.
