Going Rate on a High Condition Brazilian S&W Model 1917?

Friend has one of these available. Condition is very good - minimal bluing wear or scratches.

I haven't followed them and the prices seem to be all over the map. I want to be fair to him, but not stupid. What's the tariff on these in today's market?

Thanks.

Prices have gotten quite high on those of late. I am guessing $400 to $500. I would not pay more than $350, but I already have two of them.

higher still...

I paid ~$450 out the door for mine a bit over a year back.

It is hardly "pristine". Smiths seem to run a bit higher around here but, on the other hand, I don't see many.
