My wife wants to watch this TV show this evening. http://www.uptv.com/node/1571/videos I'm not big on "reality" TV but, we'll see.

I will take a pass on this program. If these truly are some teenagers with issues, they deserve to work out those issues in private. The glare of the TV lights, will create even more difficulties for these young people as they go down their paths of life.

Throw in the fact that I spent 37 years trying to help people deal with broken and messed up lives, make me not find that stuff a source of entertainment. What is next, a reality show on how people take craps? Some things just are not entertaining!

I hear you, we'll see. I saw an interview this morning

and my impression was that the troubles part wasn't much of the thing but it might be. I just want to see ranching, the wife was up (should I have said that) for the Christian/moral lifestyle of it. Drama crap, as Jeff talked about in relation to being approached for such a thing, ain't my cup o'tea.

PS - I've been known to hit the mute button and just watch the scenery until I fall asleep. :-D

Watched it and have mixed feelings about it.

Pretty typical reality show in format but they prayed, actually saying "Jesus Christ" and at the end they mentioned that there is a discussion guide for some of the issues mentioned in the show. So, because of the last, I think somebody might think it is a teaching tool rather than merely gratuitous exploitation of a young man's troubled life. Here's the link to the "conversation guide" which is a pdf file. http://content.uptv.com/assets/pdf/conversation/bullochconversationguide2.pdf

I like the examples it shows but it is another "reality" show. Most of that is pretty boring.
