It's marked 'Behlert'

The letters are raised, so the sight is apparently cast. It also has two white painted 'dots' in cast-in 'divots'.
I actually like the combo with the 'red ramp' front sight.

slight chance I may have done that gun, The hammer bob looks like my work and I stippled many frames. That insert was a Behlert original and the sights were made in house I still have a few around. Gives a great sight picture. J.Michael

Mainly for cosmetic reasons, but I also found it works 'better' (for me, at least).
Otherwise, the gun is pretty complete.
