Gunbroker funky, Ruger Service Six in .380 Rim (38 S&W)
Now THAT would be a vehicle in which to find out what the .38 S&W round could really do. To what purpose I could not fathom, however - certainly no other .38 S&W revolver could stand up to the loads that one could.
I have an Enfield MKII** that seems to just love handloads that would cause most other .38 S&Ws to spontaneously self-destruct. For that matter, the little 1956 Terrier that rides around in my britches pocket would be insulted if I put factory loads in it. IJ Owl Heads? - we will not go there.
