I make the Flap Jack a detachable swivel flap on a pancake
holster. What I have found for use in the colder climes is that a standard pancake holster covers the gun very well and rides close enogh that one's shell or fleece or vest covers the pistol and provides great protection for the gun, yet allows quick access to the pistol.
