Prayer request for a good man please.

Melodie's father, George, passed away Monday morning about 3:30 after a long battle with cancer. He was 86 and lived a full life. He was diagnosed with cancer 29 years ago and has beat it until yesterday. As an amazing aside, he was given his "last rights" a full half-dozen times and managed to prove the priest wrong all but this last one.

He was an amazing man; wrote 4 books; collected a Masters and PhD; taught high school through graduate school; raised a fine family with excellent values; was president of the local Society of Mfg Engineers; sang in the local church choir for 50 years.

I'm sure I have missed a few accomplishments. He was a pleasure to have known and I am proud that he allowed me to be a part of his family.
