Two nice Winchesters spotted

Local pawnshop has two nice used Winchester rifles, if anyone's interested. One is a Model 94 carbine, post-64 but pre-safety, probably 1970s vintage, machined lifter, walnut wood in good shape, nice bore. Front sight missing the hood but the rear is all there. Light freckling on the barrel and receiver but overall as nice as I've seen in a while. .30-30, of course. $279.

The other is a post-64 Model 70 in .30-06. Push feed, hinged floorplate, wood and metal good with use marks but nothing serious. Bore looks good. Factory sights and a two-piece scope mount, but no scope. Used but not abused. $349.

No interest on my part except the shop owner is a friend who has made me some good deals over the years. To tell the truth, either or both of these guns would have come home with me, except that I already have a Model 94 virtually identical to this one and really don't need another. As to the Model 70 I have no such excuse, I just hope somebody on here will buy the thing and remove the temptation.......
