First Bowling Pin Shoot
We had our first bowling pin match this morning and I took first place. Primary reason was the gun and load. I didn't have many pins to chase as a fair hit drove them back off the table with power to spare. One moon clip of 6 rounds took the 5 pins of the table and no need to reload.
I used my 625 (5" underlug bbl.) in 45 ACP with good old 452423 going about 850 fps. The big 243 grain Keith bullet did the job and I can't see how it could be improved.
As we get into the game, time will become a bigger factor and I will lag behind. But today, they were trying to figure out how to knock them off the table and I had that covered. There were ten of us shooting, with 38 specials, 357 Magnums, and an assortment of 1911s in 45 ACP. Most of the 1911 shooters were using 230 RN factory stuff. It worked, but they had more spinners than I did.
I should think any 44 or 45 Keith bullet going 850 to 900 would do as well.
