I can see why. That front sight will
jerk your underwear up to your armpits. Might ought to look around for a good holster...

It probably just depends on where yer packin' it
For example, see Page 122 of Sixguns By Keith.
If it was good enough for old Jack McPhee of Fairbanks, Alaska, it'd be fine by me.
Besides, long barrels go better with snowshoes.

Well no wonder, it is a 44 SPL what more could one want.
Had a 431 that was really fun to shoot with a good load, but heavy to carry!
It's a M29-2 .44 magnum , with a M24 .44 spl barrel on it.
