3 MOA or 8 MOA?

Even though I hail from Minnesota, "MOA" in this case does NOT stand for Mall Of America. Just wanted to make that clear. Been there. Didn't like it. Don't see the need to go back.

Burris FastFire comes with a 3 MOA or 8 MOA dot. The application is a dedicated target pistol to be used in our little league. Distances are 3, 7 & 17 yards to silhouette (spelling checkers, did I get it?) targets.

The 8 MOA will cover most of the width of the 10 "ring" (it's really an oval) at the 17 yard target and be less with the closer ones.

I assume the advantage of the 8 MOA will be speed of acquisition. Should I be even considering the 3 MOA for this particular game?

Thanks!
