1987 Mark Taylor F5-copy Mandolin

Made when Mark Taylor was "between companies" (after "Tennessee" and before "Crafters of Tennessee"). No label. Excellent condition, no cracks (repaired or otherwise), no issues at all. Light sunburst finish has some pick wear on the upper treble bout, as can be seen in the photo. This is one of only two mandolins made thus by Mark, on commission from Curtis McPeake (info verified and confirmed by Curtis McPeake). Entirely handcrafted by Mark Taylor, as he had no employees at the time. Solid carved spruce top, solid carved beautiful curly maple back, beautiful curly maple sides and neck. MOP "Gibson" logo and Flowerpot inlay, non-adjustable truss rod (no truss rod cover, neck is nice and straight). Fretboard extension scooped by Mark Taylor. Great strong sound, great playability (nice low action). A superb hand-crafted mandolin by a legendary luthier. Gold-plated tuners and non-engraved gold-plated tailpiece. Original shaped hardshell case. Curly maple Dudenbostel armrest not included, but if you want it we can work it out.

$4200 includes shipping to CONUS, trades and reasonable offers considered. Additional pics and info on request.
