Well, John, you shot another X with your Handloading column in the July/August American Handgunner. I am in the process of putting together a couple hundred rounds of .45 ACP low-recoil loads which appear almost identical to the Buffalo Bore loads you described: a Berry's 185 grain plated truncated cone flat point over 4.5 grains of Bullseye. Nice, easy shooting, works the gun well, kicks like a .38 wadcutter, and minute-of-Pepsi-can accurate. I haven't had a chance to put it across my Chrony yet, but I'm guessing the velocity from my Commander will be around 800 fps. It left some very impressive holes in the (muddy) clay backstop.

BTW, if that's your Commander pictured at the top left, it sho' looks like a honey!
