His & Hers S&W 10-5s

Here's a pair of the police trade-in 10-5s from Buds in Kentucky that I was able to scoop up. I think they came back here from Australia, not sure about that? They cleaned up pretty nicely. As far as I can tell they haven't been shot much but have endured some rough handling for sure; both have little scrapes and nicks but nothing serious. The factory wood was undersized so I opted for Goodyear rubber. I'm planning to shoot them both tonight, one in each hand !

They look great. Nothing like a 3" S&W.

I just saw one of these Aussy trade in's the other day.

Should have a re-import stamp or two....I should just hunt down a 3" M65 or 13 as to me it is the best blend of size/power/looks/handling available. Small rant Whily Clap 3" GP 100, really? Why not an "Elmer Keith" Blackhawk?

[image]The Aussies traded these back to S&W for M&P autos. Since they went back to the manufacturer, there is no import stamp on them. All there is is a bar code type sticker on the right side of the frame that can apprently be easily removed. Sorry for the lousy phone pic.

I'm still trying to figure out that claptrap GP, LOL

A 3" Model 10 is about the only gun left for which I really have a "cravin' flung on me" as Jerry Clower used to say. Got a 5", a 2" and several 4 inchers, but a 3" has eluded me. You just don't see 'em around these parts.
