Nope! Look at what the famose bear guides used/use
375s. Better bullets have allowed the use of lesser calibers; Hal Waugh and his contemporaries WANTED to like the .338 mag, but as he wrote in the late 60s the .338 looked good on paper but did not perform in the field(At that time)as well as the .375 H&H/WBY.
