I agree Wilson's is a good book, but...
If he still recommends holding the trigger back when releasing the slide on a 1911 to chamber a round from the magazine, that is one piece of 'professional advice' I disagree with.
Doing so might be 'good' for a trigger job − which is doubtful, if quality parts are used and the work is done right − but it will not endear anyone to their insurance agent.
It will also get the practioner thrown off more than one public range where basic safety rules are not only adhered to, but enforced.
