Crazy Auction Prices
A couple of weeks ago I posted a link to an auction locally which we had Saturday. Now these weapons were all excellent to new condition, most with boxes and the Rugers were mainly Red Boxes, but it was a buying frenzy. .22 ammo was the worst, cheapest was $65 for a brick of old Federal Lightning, worst was $135 for a brick of '70s vintage CCI Stingers.
Now for a taste of the firearms:
Browing Hi Power - $1175
Browing 92 .357 - $1,100
A slew of Colt New Frontier .22 convertibles for $600 - $650
Colt Peacemaker .22s from $650 to 750
Rugers were crazy - Blackhawks in .357 for $650 -750 (all new models)
Single Six .22s ranged from $550 to $700 (all new models)
Stainless Security Sixes from $750 to $1200
Seems like folks had money to burn. Lots of dealers were present.
Remainder of the ammo and reloading components went cheap. I picked up 500 rounds of loaded Federal .357 ammo for $100 and 750 pieces of Remington .45 Colt brass still unopened in the box for $70. Got a Marlin 36 ADL for my brother at a decent price too.
