Factory-ammo-wise, the 'good old days' are pretty much over
I'd say we had about 25 years of relatively 'cheap' factory ammunition, but things went South, and prices went skyward, during the Crisis − aka, 'Election' − of 2008.
In many ways, it's like the 1970s all over again. Ammo prices are just one example, and I don't see them returning to 'normal' any time soon.
I think incomes will have to catch up for that to happen, and in terms of ammo-buying-capacity, that took at least a decade last time around.
