How to load for and shoot a peacemaker

1...Swipe a small glass bowl from Mama's kitchen cupboard.
2...Fill said bowl about 3/4 full of fff goex.
3...Place a .45 primed brass between strong side index finger and thumb
4...With a rocking motion from the wrist, drag brass through the bowl of powder.
5...Hold powder filled brass straight up. Powder should be overflowing.
6...With off hand, hook index finger against thumb...give case a little "thump". Bump out about 1/8 inch of powder
7...Place bullet lubed with 50/50 Beeswax/Crisco into casing and seat/roll crimp in normal fashion.
8...Locate Mr. Tom...get upwind...pull trigger

I am passionate about this. There are many correct applications for smokeless and I have several. But there is just something special about shooting the SAA as it was designed.

That sure was fun!

I've loaded BP for a couple things but hadn't got to the .45 Colt yet. Thanks Chuck!

Oh yeah, if Chuck warns you it's "a light trigger", you best listen.

Shoot yeah

Some of my most accurate loads have been a case of BP under my 289gr 45 270-SAA bullet.
