haha, I almost forgot about that one
I used to have an old Ruger Mark I Target, and in my misguided youth, I used to take the bottom end down to the gas station and hose it off to clean it.
In my defense, I always wore a plastic bag for a 'glove' on the hand holding it, plus I only did this every 5000 rounds or so.
Besides, gas was pretty cheap back then.
