I suppose if I'm going to keep one fixed blade
It'll be safe and sound in my hands: I coat the blade with RIG grease, and I store the knife in a Bill's soft case (never in the sheath).
If or when the Randall market rebounds, it'll still be 'like new'.
Meantime, I'll just fondle it every now and then − or post a few pics.
