I knew how to do it on the old forum but can't remember if I've even done it on this one. Do the pics have to be on a web server or will they upload directly to the forum?

It works both ways:

The buttons for both methods are to the immediate right of the window in which you type your posting.

Posting hosted images (Screenshot)
Here's a screenshot showing the location of the button on this forum
for posting images hosted at sites such as Photobucket:

Note that the 'manual' method is to type:
• [img] immediately before the URL of your hosted image, and
• [/img] immediately after it

I looked at the forum index certain there was a link for posting pics and couldn't find it. I forgot it was in the "post" section. Grrrr...

Forgetting where the buttons were when they were staring right at me...I claim senior moment:)
OIC: I shoulda said
"Also, I didn't know you could upload pics." (Or just, "I didn't know you could upload pics.")
That one could is what I learned from this conversation.
I'd seen the 'button' before, but I never tried it.
