Rob,
I am not the OP Mark but I have a comment. I have had good luck with Small pistol Primer 45 brass. While I don't have a lot of it, accuracy seemed to be minimally improved when I used it in one of my two 1911's. In the other 1911, accuracy was unchanged but groups from that gun are usually larger. This testing was not exhaustive but complete for the components that I usually use and have on hand (W321 powder, Winchester primers, and two styles of cast 200 grain SWC). I do have another use for the brass. Because I don't have many cases and I shoot an occasional lost brass match, I have some small pistol primer 45 brass loaded for those matches. It just makes me feel a little better to know that person who gets my spent brass will have to sort it.
Mark
