Sarge, Question on Sig P220...

I do recall mine tossing brass well to the side and perhaps slightly toward the muzzle, particularly with full power JHP loads. This changed a tad when I ran a 24 lb recoil spring with some 450 Triton (basically an early 45 Super) I shot a few rounds of. My suggestion would be to play with spring weights and leave the gun alone otherwise.

Gen 4 Glocks have developed a reputation for delivering hot brass to the face, and this came up at the last Armorer school I attended. As the Glock rep said, in so many words, "The object of the ejection cycle is to clear the action of the fired case. All else is incidental." My poor old G23 apparently considers fired brass disposable, like a Bic lighter. I shoot in a hay field at home, so kiss it goodbye. I'm going to shoot in the snow today, so I can at least establish what zip code I need to search ;)

Glad you enjoyed the 220 article.
