Yassah, I been lost, but now I's found...

The price might seem like a lot for a 617, but I have been looking for one of these what seems like forever, and the 4" prelock versions are virtually never seen under $1000 anymore.

If it's as good as it looks, I'll be lucky to get it, and very happy to have it.

Sometimes, it 'pays' to stay up past bedtime. :-D

PS: Seven other wandering souls looked at it before I did; betcha they're wishin' they hadn't waited... ;-)

PPS: Curses, Glen, for starting me on a K-frame binge! (Again.) :-P

Yep, I can see that. Is it wrong that I can understand? Shot my Outdoorsman yesterday and every shot was pure pleasure.

A SIX SHOT .22 revolver, with no bug holes in the frame, just like they used to be before the engineers and lawyers got involved. VERY nice!

...did I mention that I have the .22 caliber little brother (in the box!) to the 5-screw Combat Masterpiece that I traded you a while back?

wow, then what's a 17 or 18 worth?

by bj @, Wednesday, February 27, 2013, 19:41 (4290 days ago) @ FOG

nm

Generally speaking...

by FOG, Wednesday, February 27, 2013, 20:30 (4290 days ago) @ bj

According to my recent surveys, about the same (or less), I'm afraid.

Beyond the Nitty Gritty ('dash number', and so forth), it all depends upon three things:
CONDITION,
CONDITION,
CONDITION

A truly 'NIB' 17 or 18 would perhaps bring a bit more, but probably not a lot.
