After all the pontificating on AR sights...
I believe I'm gonna leave it alone. My 4X Leupold that's on it (not the best scope for an AR but it works) has been frustrating me with the ocular lens lock nut backing off and then ocular lens flops enough to make a difference in POA. I can tighten the heck out of it and 10 shots later my groups open up and it's loose. That's really the only thing about it that bothers me, so in the spirit of trying to become 100% debt free and if I don't NEED it I'm not buying it, I put some red lok-tite on the threads and I'm calling it good. I have a perfectly good set of back up iron sights mounted on a Marlin Guide Gun that is a fine hunting and "social" rifle in in own right:) If I was in a combat zone I'd be more worried about it. I figure if I change the sights I have to expend precious ammo to sight it in. If I had a spare case of M855 I might consider it but I don't and lately it's not so easy to find.
