Interesting Roper-like grips on an S&W Centennial
Here's an interesting set of Roper-like grips on a Smith & Wesson Model 40 Centennial seen on Gunbroker.

I think the grips are probably copies, but they are very well done.
Notice the 'shelf' on the right side at the rear of the trigger guard.
My interpretation of that feature is that it copies Roper's DA 'trigger stop' concept beautifully.
If I'm right, these grips would be for someone who isn't. 
If I'm not, I still think they're pretty neat.

They look like wood copies of the old Fitz "Gunfighter" grips from the 50's, 60's. Sile made simlar grips in wood too. I have a set somewhere; they're not very comfortable though.

Now that you mention it, they do look kind of like Fitz and Siles.
I guess that just goes to show just how far gone I am when it comes to revolver stocks.
I've always been a a regular grip fanatic, but even I know that's a bit over the...edge?
