in the states that are anti-gun. I understand that is where many started but why stay there ?

I hope they do the same thing nationally!!!!

I hate to say it but I hope they adopt the same laws nationally. If I have to suffer everyone else in the nation should!!!!! We have some real retards running our state. NYC should just become its seperate state. Glad I sold my AR several years ago.

Bite your tongue - we need to boycott Remington til they

Move. We can't help it if NYC is made up of fruitcakes. Ours are in Memphis.

Why punish the employees in Ilion for something Albany did?

by cas, Thursday, January 17, 2013, 22:42 (4273 days ago) @ stonewalrus

They didn't pass the law. They're the biggest employer in Herkimer county, closing the plan would devistate the area.

New York is trying to put them out of business

by stonewalrus, Friday, January 18, 2013, 06:00 (4273 days ago) @ cas

If this kind of stuff goes in nationwide, Remington, Ruger, Smith and Wesson and Colt as well as a bunch of other manufacturers are going to be severely hurt.

Will Remington still be able to do its mfg there or is all

Too much here for me...

by woody, Tuesday, January 15, 2013, 20:15 (4276 days ago) @ Rob Leahy

All my family is here and I love where I live. Can't ask for better fishing with Lake Ontario and the finger lakes in my area. The hunting is awesome. We have tons of deer, turkeys, waterfowl etc. everything I like to hunt. We have the adirondacks,Catskills, and the Finger Lakes. Can't ask for anything more. So I won't be going anywhere. I'm not letting anything run me out. Plus this is my home. But what does suck is we have NYC. I wish it and Long Island could be seperated from the rest of the state. Long Island is just as bad as the city. Basically a spill over from the city. Sad because it is also really beautiful and a neat area.

My only hope is the same thing happens nationally so it might get fought better. We have SCOPE trying to do there best but I'm not sure how much the NRA has ever done in our state in recent years. I think we were written off years ago.

I rather you not wish your woes on others...for whatever r

I understand the attachment you feel.

But hoping for things to get worse everywhere else, in order to "wake everyone up", is like asking for your car accident to become a 50 vehicle pileup, all so you can catch a tow.

Help yourselves out of your communal quagmire.

I disagree most emphatically.

Also, your sentence "If I have to suffer everyone else in the nation should!!!!!" allows a not-so-nice public insight into your character.

I hope they do the same thing nationally!!!!

by Jhenry, Wednesday, January 16, 2013, 00:11 (4275 days ago) @ woody

Why exactly should other people have to suffer. I would rather think you should hope for the opposite. I do understand the frustration, but wishing ill for other citizens because you have had an ill imposed upon you by the government is a pretty unfortunate thing to read. We need to stick together, now more than ever. This tyrant has no respect for the constitution, no regard or respect for the citizens of this country, and 4 more years to do as much damage to the US as he can. And he will too. Time to hang together or hang separately.

All easy to say when it is not you...

by woody, Wednesday, January 16, 2013, 04:49 (4275 days ago) @ Jhenry

Yep I'm mad and bitter about it. But I will get over it.

It IS US

by Jhenry, Wednesday, January 16, 2013, 16:46 (4275 days ago) @ woody

You are us, we are all US. OUR liberties are in very real sense being attacked by our own government. When they attack you they attack me. We either fight together or go down piece meal.

Your post indicated that when they attack you you want them to attack me just as much. I think that was the basis for any post admonishing you for the original post. A fighting unit does not do or say such things, and we have to become a unit of people who will use the system to fight the usurpation of our God given rights tooth and nail.

You are right in that it is easy to say. I am afraid we will see who will roll over and who will stand pretty soon. Especially with the elected ones who want to remain wallowing in the gravy. Impeaching the tyrant seems like a good idea right about now. What a disgrace he is. I hope he chokes on some cornbread.

I'm upgrading my NRA membership again. Also paying dues for

by John K., Wednesday, January 16, 2013, 17:23 (4275 days ago) @ Jhenry

a few friends as gifts. That's the best we have to work within the system especially when coupled with personalized contact with elected representatives. However, a lot of gun people have numerous reasons to not be a member of the NRA - that makes no sense to me.

Great idea - at $20 to add a member

by stonewalrus, Wednesday, January 16, 2013, 17:28 (4275 days ago) @ John K.

I signed up my son.

It's really quite ironic when you consider...

That had it not been for the delegates from New York, Massachusetts, and Virginia,at the Constituitional Convention, insisting on the right of individuals to possess firearms without restriction, the Second Amendment probably would have not been written in to our Constitution.
