Any experience with the baby Cimarrons?

I've wanted one of the smaller framed .32/20's for awhile. Saw this little .38 and am pretty interested...

I'm just curious if anyone has any experience with one of these. I know grip fel is pretty personal but I'm interested in hearing opinions on them.

Sure looks like a cute little thing at a decent price. OnlY downside is its almost two hours away...

Do they scale them down for the .38?

I've handled (inside and out) a .45 and was very impressed.

I used to own the one in 32-20/.32 Magnum version. It had a conventional grip and barrel length. It was OK. Sights were small and hard to see. Accuracy was ordinary. After I made a 32-20 out of a S&W NewModel 16, I got rid of the 32-20 Cimarron.

I also have one in the same configuration you picture (birdshead grip and short barrel) except it is in 41 Long Colt. It is interesting. I had to smooth the chambers. They were rough and the ejector rod is too small to fully eject the cases. That maybe was because it was a strange caliber.

In both of them, the mainspring was heavy enough for the back end of a pickup truck. I did find out that the exact same mainspring that is used in the full size Model P is used in this one. That maybe why it is so heavy. So I was able to replace it with the Wolff lighter mainspring for a Model P. Much improved. I still have it. The picture is near the bottom of this: http://harryo.sixshootercommunity.org/

I think that this model (especially in .38 Special) should be allowed for women in CAS shoots. It would fit my wife much better than a full size Model P.
