CTD posted yesterday they were stopping gun sales. They also raised the price of AR mags 400%. Their facebook page where they made the announcements has roughly 20,000 posts. Don't think they quite understand their customer base...
I think you're right.

Well, that fixes it for me.....

.......I was never a huge fan of theirs to begin with.
That sound you hear is the hammer driving nails into their corporate coffin. Good riddance, there are other sellers worth concerning yourself with.
Otony
me too - I have avoided ordering from them

After they started charging separate shipping fees for each warehouse (they have upwards of 8). You could never find everything from just one warehouse (ammo in one, clothing another, optis another, etc.). Made shipping costs outrageous!
Really surprising...

Thought they had more corporate sense than this.
I think it was HUGE mistake. too many little guys

will jump in and steal their market share. Aimsurplus, Brovo and JSE, et al are just shaking their heads and racking up the sales.
It is traitorous to their customers and plays into the hands of the opposition.
The enemy did not remain silent, they didn't go dark for 3 days(NRA)they haven't suspended ANYTHING!!!
I'm not ready to roll over and play dead or stay silent.
This latest massacre is the direct result of failed LEFTIST polices.Intentionally or not, THEY have created a situation that creates a pretext for disarmament.

I'll bet that within six months (or less) they will again be selling guns as fast as they can and we'll have "forgiven" them this temporary cave-in.
We are rather contradictory in our reaction to the current panic, and all similar panics. We complain about others buying up all the ammo, but when we see some we buy it up. Pogo was right.

They wouldn't send anything "AW" related to NY anyway...
by cas, Wednesday, December 19, 2012, 10:38 (4359 days ago) @ stonewalrus
…no matter how small. If you needed a buffer spring they wouldn't send it because it was evil. They lost me a long long time ago.
Same with California...

"Dirt" is appropriate, too.

They did a lot of the same things after the 2008 election, extreme price increases on ammo being the biggest. Some of us remember that, and still won't trade with them. Now they are doing it again. I wouldn't waste too much time predicting their demise. Didn't seem to hurt them last time, I'm local and they have since opened a second store in the DFW area.
My understanding is the online store and brick and mortar

Stores are totally different entities. At least as per Clint Smith of Thunder Ranch fame. He had high praise for the real stores but was encouraging folks to give the online people grief via their facebook page.

That is sort of true, if you believe them. The Fort Worth retail store is in the same building as the catalog store. The catalog store even has a counter in the retail store that you can do walk up business at for anything in the catalog.
I have a hard time believing this isn't all under the same ownership.
In any event, they have opened a second retail store in McKinney. This one is said to be owned by the catalog company.

After I heard about it I took a look through their catalog (which was within arms reach). They do not sell any guns. They sell uppers. They sell parts and accessories. But they do not sell guns. At least there were none in their catalog. That makes their stance doubly stupid.
they do send out a catalog with guns occasionally

And they list them on their website.
