"Experience is a dear school. Fools learn at no other and hardly there." Ben Franklin

Q. Why would a 1911 magazine follower roll snake eyes after a couple of years service?

A. Because some idiot practiced speed reloading by slamming the magazine into the pistol when the slide was forward. The follower took a beating against the inside portion of the slide lock.

Q. Why didn't the idiot know this and practice his speed reload with the slide locked back and not batter the magazine follower?

A.(1) Because the big boys didn't send him the memo.
A.(2) Because he is an idiot!

Q. Why do the round top Metalform follower fail so quickly?

A. Because the metal used to stamp and bend into such a complex shape is thinner and softer than the metal used in simpler and more traditional type followers.

I got mine from Gil Hebard and all he had was the round follower. But they were only $10.00 per including the postage.

If you are going to replace the follower. see if you can get
